 We can assure schools that:

  •  All qualifications, suitability and DBS checks have been undertaken on all staff we hire. 
  • We have full membership of the Recruitment Education Confederation, the recommended professional recruitment body, and have continued our membership with Peninsula Business Services, specialists in employment law and H.R., for the benefit of our supply staff and schools.
  • We always pay at least the minimum daily pay rate for supply teachers, in line with the current School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD), and the role being undertaken.
  • We are fully compliant with The Code of Practice for Ethical Employment in Supply Chains and Welsh Government Fair Work principles are supported.
  • We have never used the Swedish Derogation Clause to avoid the Agency Worker Regulations 2010. Celtic Teachers has always worked in line with the A.W.R. 2010.
  • Agency daily fees are made available to schools and local authorities providing schools with clarity in terms of how much goes to the teacher and how much to the agency supporting delegated budget decisions.
  • We have never charged temporary to permanent fees and actively help our staff to achieve permanent posts in schools
  • Agency supply teachers will receive free and relevant professional learning and all newly qualified teachers will have the relevant support to meet induction requirements.
